3 Essential Matwork Props

As a STOTT Pilates instructor in training, I'm currently learning to teach 285 exercises, plus variations. (!!)

While practicing (and practicing and practicing), I've discovered these essential props that help me create an effective, tension-free workout, both for clients and myself. I thought you might like them too.

Hopefully I'll be seeing you around the studio soon. In the meantime, check these out.

MINI STABILITY BALL

• Adds challenge to abdominal and adductor work on Mat or Reformer

• Aids access to deep core stabilizers

• Inflate or deflate to your desired pressure

6 FOOT FLEX BAND

• Use for assistance during Mat or Barre work

• Extra long band is great for stretching

• Comes in two more strengths for added challenge

FOAM CUSHION

• Use on Mat or Reformer to achieve a vertical spine when sitting

• Increases comfort for those with tight hamstrings

• Great all around cushion for Pilates & yoga
